One of my favourite Canadian composer-singers is Halifax-native Ben Caplin. He wrote a musical a few years ago called "Olde Stock".
This song "Truth Doesn't Live In a Book" is from that musical. Here is a video of him singing it. It's great fun, the lyrics are spectacular and it reminds us not to take ourselves, or any holy book literally or too seriously.
