And so, the promise I made to myself that I would aim for regular posting has already failed. Most excellent.
I'm not sure if I'm alone in this...I feel like I'm always behind in something. Usually the week leading up to Cedar (Palm) Sunday I'm getting the liturgies ready, making lists, etc., so that when Cedar Sunday arrives, the liturgies flow well, from one to the other...minor tweaks in between.
Not this year.
This year feels like it's one thing after another...funeral. Meeting with a family. Changing format, reformatting, tweaking, meeting with a bride and groom. Walking with a young mum who wants to have her baby boy baptised. It's all good stuff!
My days have been long. Getting up early. Working from home. Heading to the Church by 9:00. Worship at 10:00. Church work or porch drops or errands to get home by 3:00. Nap a couple of hours, then work again at home until 10:00 or 11:00 pm. Lather. Rinse. Repeat.
I guess I should give myself the grace I extend to everyone else. Right?
Right. Maybe later. Right now I have to get ready for Maundy Thursday.
Truly, I do love Holy Week. It is my favourite week of the year.
